If you’re looking for one of the best sunset dining experiences in Legian, SKAI Bar & Grill should be on your list. With breathtaking ocean views, delicious food, and a relaxed yet stylish vibe, this restaurant is perfect whether you’re dining as a couple, with friends, or as a family. Here’s our full review of our evening at SKAI Bar & Grill.

Atmosphere at SKAI Bar & Grill
The first thing you notice at SKAI is the view across Legian Beach. Located adjacent to Padma Resort Legian, it was a short walk from our room and the perfect way to end the day. We booked our table to coincide with golden hour, and it really felt like the whole setting was designed around that moment.
The atmosphere is sophisticated but not overly formal. Live music and a DJ added to the vibe, and the staff were welcoming from the moment we arrived. We loved that, despite feeling like a “special occasion” restaurant, it remained very family-friendly.
For regular seating, indoor and outdoor, there is no minimum spend. If you would like to relax and enjoy a day bed, there is a minimum spend of IDR 1,000,000+ per bed for a 3-hour session (maximum four guests). The first session is from 12 pm to 3 pm, and the second session is from 3 pm to 6 pm.
Please note that children below 12 years old are not allowed to swim in the SKAI Pool. For more details, click here for the Padma Resort Legian website.

SKAI Bar & Grill Menu Highlights
SKAI Bar & Grill is open each day from 12 pm. It closes at 11 pm Sunday to Thursday and until 12 am Friday and Saturday.
The menu at SKAI Bar & Grill focuses on fresh, high-quality ingredients, with a mix of seafood, grilled meats, and lighter options.

The kids were happy too, with plenty of choices that suited their tastes, including wood-fired pizzas. Mason ordered his burger from the Padma Legian Pool Bar menu; ask the wait staff for options.

Drinks are another highlight; cocktails are creative and refreshing, ideal for sipping as the sun goes down. There’s also a wide range of mocktails and juices, which made it fun for the kids to join in on the sunset drinks tradition.

Deals & Happy Hour at SKAI Bar & Grill
SKAI Bar & Grill makes the sunset experience even sweeter with a range of happy hour deals and special offers. Arrive in the late afternoon and you’ll often find buy-one-get-one cocktails, sharing platters paired with drinks, and discounted prices on selected wines and beers. These offers make it easy to enjoy the stunning views without blowing the budget, whether you’re popping in for sunset drinks or staying on for dinner.

Is Skai Bar & Grill Family-Friendly?
Yes! While many beach club bars lean more towards adults, Skai is surprisingly welcoming for families. Even though there is no swimming in the pool for kids under 12 years, it is great to have a break from the pool and sit back and enjoy the sunset with delicious food and drinks. The staff were fantastic with the kids, and the relaxed design meant we never felt out of place. It’s a rare combination, stylish dining with incredible views, but still comfortable for the whole family.
